Review of the VSD Supernova MG direct seed drill

For more than a year now, a six-meter VSD SUPERNOVA MG direct seed drill has been in operation on Zahari Borachev's farm. The machine was supplied by Colombo Agro, the Italian manufacturer's representative in Bulgaria. The VSD SUPERNOVA MG seed drill is extremely reliable and efficient, says Erhan Aliyev, tractor driver and seed drill operator. It works without the need for additional processing, allowing sowing at different depths, even on hard and undeveloped soils.

"I have used it to sow directly on uncultivated or animal-compacted land, as well as directly on tobacco, sunflower, and corn residues, without prior mowing. The results have always been excellent." The seeder is equipped with wave-shaped turbo discs that perform pre-sowing treatment without overloading the tractor, Mr. Aliyev continues. "This is a great advantage, especially when working on different types of soil. The seed drill is easy to tow with a tractor, weighing around 7,200 kg—enough to provide stability without being too heavy.

Maintenance is easy and convenient. I particularly like the fact that each section has a 45 cm stroke for copying the terrain, which is extremely important on uneven surfaces." Erhan Aliyev adds that their seeder is mainly designed for autumn sowing, but they also use it successfully in spring. "We also use it in wet conditions after rain, when the soil cannot dry out with the approach of winter. We have also sown without any problems in rainy weather. We have sown rapeseed, wheat, barley, and other crops with this seeder. This year, our rapeseed is very good; we have never had such good rapeseed before! Overall, I can say that the VSD SUPERNOVA MG is a very well-designed and reliable seeder that makes work easier and improves results."
